The result of over ten years of breeding Echinacea purpura and Echinacea paradoxa, this beauty shows the best traits of both. The large flowers with reflexed petals, a luscious shade of mango, surround a prominent golden cone. A beguiling perfume and strong, stiff stems make blooms choice cut flowers as well as creating a stunning specimen by the front entrance.

A Yellow Purple Coneflowerąthus the paradox. Relatively rare both in the wild and as a cultivated plant, this species is nonetheless stunning and worthy of wider use. Its pure bright yellow petals fall elegantly around a prominent brown cone (on which our garden's Goldfinches have deemed the perfect perching spot).
