Cortaderia sellonana 'Pink' $12.95
Pink Pampas Grass
The densely tufted pinkish plumes at the tips of æPinkÆsÆ flower spikes remind us of outsized Q-Tips or a plant from Dr. Seuss. This dramatic tall grass knows how to attract and reward attention. Make sure to grant it plenty of room, as it is an aggressive grower in warmer climates.
With soft pastel fluffy rose-pink flowers in continuous bloom, this compact fountain grass is delightful, summer into fall. The landscape will welcome this graceful, pretty color and texture accent. ItÆs slow to spread, vigorous and reliable.
A tall and vigorous selection by Neil Diboll of Prairie Nursery in Wisconsin. Numerous brilliant scarlet flowers form on loose panicles in late July-August-a magnet for hummingbirds and butterflies. For moist well-drained areas in full sun.
Oxalis triangularis $10.95
Purple Shamrock
The dainty pink blushed white blooms float and shimmer over the deep, mysterious pools of scrumptious clumps of blackish purple shamrock. Provides richness of composition in containers (use light colored pots for added contrast). Combines nicely with chartreuse or pale green foliaged partners in the front of a border. Full sun, well-drained soil.
Helleborus 'Phoebe' $19.95
Lenten Rose
Bright pink flowers are fully double, creating frilly heads reminiscent of peonies, but for the wintertime garden. Each petal is softly dusted with freckles twisting and tucking itself into the full, almost spherical flower head. We labored over developing this delectable pink double with a substantial plant habit and strong resistance to diseases.
æMayleenÆ erupts into bloom in early March with billowing clouds of vanilla fragrance borne by hundreds of 3-inch soft pink flowers. The flowers and fragrance continue through May when the plant takes on a bronzy new growth that gradually transitions to a deep green. Prune only after flowering.
