Discovered in Sally JohannsohnĘs garden in Tasmania, this striking silver-variegated euphorbia was brought back to North America by Heronswood in 1998. The erect stems are clothed with narrow bluish-green foliage edged in creamy white. In summer, the stems are topped by chartreuse bracts edged white. Best used in containers, especially striking when contrasted with dark foliage plants.
Discovered in Tasmania, this rare, lovely Acanthus has leaves that look hand-painted. The foliage is deeply scalloped and margined with galaxies of creamy speckles. Once the large clumps mature, huge 4-5 foot tall snapdragon-like spikes of delicate pink spring up. An unusual selection of the European A. mollis. Plant in a site with rich, moist soil.
