Look upon this bright star of the variegated yuccas, with its eye-catching blend of ivory, gold, pink and green foliage and a short-trunked, agave-like form. This was a vegetative sport discovered on a plant thought to be Yucca gloriosa by Albert Timothy Crowther at his nursery in Arundel, Great Britain. We offer a consistent and uniform selection that does best in well-drained, average to dry soils. Slow growing, and certainly worth the wait.
A dynamite Tree Yucca ultimately forming colonies of thick stems clad with leathery broad upright foliage to 20ö along stems ultimately to 25 ft. The erect panicles of flowers to 2.5 ft., carrying tubular flowers of creamy white, emerge quite late in the Pacific Northest, but earlier in summer-warm regions. There is simply no better genus than the Yucca to add a dash of verticality to a planting. If you can grow this species in your climate, then just do it. Requires excellent drainage.
